Project on Active Ageing
The second meeting to discuss the FIBA CISL project on ‘Developing solidarity between generation of workers: good practice to increase employment rates of youth and of workers over 55. The case of the banking sector’ kicked in recently in Cyprus with the participation of various social partners from Malta (MUBE), Spain, Cyprus, Italy, Hungary and Romania.
The topics which were discussed were various in particular the strengths and weaknesses of significant experiences of solidarity between worker generations.
The first results of the Partners’ Questionnaire requesting general information on the national labour market and the pension system, details on collective agreements at sector and/or company, initiatives undertaken by the Bank and/or employers’ association and other trade union initiatives and strategies were also analyzed.
