A Tackle for Id-Dar tal-Providenza took place yesterday 30th December 2013 at the St Aloysius College sports ground in Birkirkara.  This is an annual event which aims to raise money for Id-Dar tal-Providenza. This year eight teams participated.  One was made up of priests, another by members of Parliament led by Labour Deputy Leader Dr Toni Abela and Nationalist Party Leader Dr Simon Busuttil. Other teams were made up of trade unionists from the CMTU, UHM, GWU and MHRA, staff of Radio RTK and representatives of the Developers’ Association.

Archbishop Paul Cremona OP kicked off the Tackle For Id-Dar tal-Providenza tournament.  Games were officiated by Charles Azzopardi, a FIFA referee.

All proceeds raised by participants will be donated to Id-Dar tal-Providenza.
