MUBE @ MiCres Meeting in Barcelona
The MiCreS project (co-funded by the European Union) is being implemented under the Erasmus+, Forward Looking Programme (Call 2023) and lasts from 01/01/2024 until 31/12/2026
The 2nd MiCres meeting was held on 25 & 26 September 2024, during which the partners delved into the next stages of the project, with a strong focus on WP2 and WP3
Under Work Package 2, the main discussions centred around the deliverables of this project, namely:
- Terms of Referencefor Curriculum Development and qualification validation in EBTN
- Mechanism for awarding of professional designations and associated CPD
The MiCreS Accreditation Standard stipulates how a micro-credential should be designed and executed. It is applied on the level of micro-credentials qualifications and is an accreditation proposal for institutions seeking recognition of the quality of micro-credential qualifications they provide.
As such, the design process of the MiCreS Standard has been to search for a solution which is fit for the purpose of achieving quality and scale enabling trust in micro-credential qualifications.
Participants discussed in detail the following topics and reached a clearer understanding of the way forward:
- Identification of the learner
- Title of the micro-credential
- Country(ies)/Region(s) of the issuer Awarding body(ies)
- Date of issuing
- Learning outcomes
- Notional workload needed to achieve the learning outcomes (in ECTS credits, where possible)
- Level (and cycle, if applicable) of the learning experience leading to the micro-credential (EQF, QF-EHEA), if applicable
- Type of assessment
- Form of participation in the learning activity
- Type of quality assurance used to underpin the micro-credential
A pilot project session will in held in Malta which will be a fantastic opportunity for our members to participate and have a tangible experience of this new credential and the technology involved
